Body Frame Size Calculator
Body frame size refers to the density and size of a person's bone structure, which influences ideal body weight ranges independent of muscle or fat. This calculator uses the height-to-wrist circumference ratio — a reliable and non-invasive method — to classify your frame as small, medium, or large based on your sex.
Knowing your frame size helps you interpret weight and health charts more accurately. Most standard weight tables assume a medium frame, so individuals with a small frame should aim for the lower end of the suggested range, while those with a large frame may healthily carry more weight. This tool uses established threshold values derived from population studies for both men and women.
How it works
Ratio = Height (cm) ÷ Wrist Circumference (cm). For women: small frame if ratio > 10.9, medium if 9.9–10.9, large if < 9.9. For men: small frame if ratio > 10.4, medium if 9.6–10.4, large if < 9.6.
