Timesheet Calculator

A timesheet calculator lets you track the exact number of hours worked each day by entering a start time, end time, and any break duration. For each row the tool subtracts break minutes from the elapsed time and shows the net worked hours in both HH:MM and decimal formats, making it easy to verify pay stubs or submit accurate timesheets to employers.

Once you have the total hours for the week or pay period, you can optionally enter an hourly rate to instantly compute your gross earnings. The calculator handles multiple days in a single session, supports overnight shifts when end time is on the following day, and keeps a running total so you always know where you stand before the pay period closes.

How it works

Worked minutes per row = (End time in minutes) − (Start time in minutes) − Break minutes. Total hours = sum of all rows ÷ 60. Total pay = Total hours × Hourly rate.

Use cases

  • Verifying weekly worked hours before submitting a timesheet to HR
  • Calculating freelance invoice amounts based on logged hours and an agreed hourly rate
  • Tracking daily work schedules for part-time or shift workers
  • Auditing payroll discrepancies by cross-checking start/end times against pay stubs
  • Estimating project labor costs when billing clients on a time-and-materials basis
