Waist-to-Hip Ratio Calculator
The waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) is a quick and widely used measure of abdominal fat distribution and associated health risks. The World Health Organization considers WHR one of the best indicators for cardiovascular disease risk, diabetes, and other metabolic conditions.
Simply enter your waist circumference (measured at the narrowest point), hip circumference (measured at the widest point), and select your sex. The calculator provides your WHR along with a health risk classification based on WHO thresholds.
How it works
WHR = Waist Circumference / Hip Circumference. WHO thresholds: Men β low risk < 0.90, moderate 0.90β1.00, high > 1.00. Women β low risk < 0.80, moderate 0.80β0.85, high > 0.85.
