How it works
The algorithm maps (month, day) pairs to one of the twelve zodiac bands using fixed annual date ranges (e.g., Aries: March 21 – April 19). Capricorn is the only sign that wraps across the year boundary (December 22 – January 19) and is handled as a special case.
